The 'Mother of Thousands' is a unique succulent that earned its common name for the way the plant reproduces. With striking green to purple leaves that hold bulbils (offspring), the plant drops these babies, producing new plants anywhere they fall. These plants can grow up to eight inches tall. In winter, gray-pink or red-purple, bell-shaped flowers will appear. For habitat, the plant enjoys very bright, direct morning sunlight, but like most succulents, it will not tolerate soggy soil. They should be kept in well-draining soil, and watered once the top few inches of soil have dried.
