'Sand Rose' is a slow-growing, creeping succulent with olive green leaves that turn bright red in bright sunlight. These succulents grow white 'hairs' between their leaf clumps, a unique adaptation to trap water vapors and survive droughts. 'Sand Rose' requires well-draining soil, and require water only when the soil has completely dried. Water should be done sparingly. They flower in late spring to early summer, producing large, purple flowers on long stalks.
