'Claret' is a hybrid succulent, a cross between Graptopetalum amethystinum and Graptopetalum rusbyi. This small plant is a beautiful, stemmed succulent with clustered rosettes that begin rose-colored, becoming gray-green and beige. Full sun will create a red wine color on the leaves. These plants should be kept above freezing temperatures and can do well in higher temperatures, growing most in spring and fall. Ensure the plant is in well-draining soil, and water the plant deeply, allowing the soil to dry completely prior to the next water. 'Claret' flowers in spring to summer, with simple stalks showing white, star-shaped flowers with red markings.
